Choosing the impression tray

Impression trays should be unperforated, rigid trays with rim lock.

The use of perforated impression trays should be avoided with Apol Classe.

The use of a specific spray adhesive will improve the behaviour of the material in the impression tray.

For single posterior crowns, a dual arch tray has the advantage of reproducing the bite in the same impression. It is essential to try in the impression tray.

It should be checked that the patient will be able to bite their teeth together completely while taking the impression.
